From the most beautiful “tepka” pear to “Tr’glav” schnapps

The village of Zasip in the immediate vicinity of Bled was once called “Prgarija”, since “tepka” pears – also known as “prga” pears – grew well there. Although “tepka” pear plantations are gradually disappearing, the Pr Trsegvav farm is still dedicating much attention the them. From the best pears they brew a highly regarded brandy to which they add various mountain herbs, honey and fruit. When visiting the farm, you will be taken on a tour where you will witness the creation of this excellent brandy – from the orchard and the distillery to the authentic black kitchen, which is still being used, and the cellar from the first half of the 18the century, where you will try the home-made “tepka” pear brandy and various liqueurs.
